First Hit of the Day

Small update at the moment. I added some new content to the Entertainment and Favorites page. My good friend ApothecaryAphid drew me a picture of Black Santa...I honestly wasn't expecting him to do that and so quickly too! What nice, sexy guy he is : p

Today I'm going to finish off the News and V_O_R and section. The Reviews page should be done by this weekend, as my first review will probably be The Bourne Conspiracy for the Xbox 360. Paid $9 for it and I have to say I'm hooked! One thing helps is because I like the movies and the game has the movie's soundtrack in it (always a plus). Marvel vs. Capcom 2 is being reported to be out next week and if it is, I'll be reviewing that as well.

A friend of mine told me to check out TrueAchievements.com, an Xbox 360 site that assigns points to achievements (because some achievements such as pressing start isn't really an achievement lol). It's a cool site and I'll definitely add it and more sites to my favorites soon.

Color me Green

What can I say, it's one of my favorite colors. Hopefully you guys and gals like the new design layout too. I'll be changing it around every once it awhile to add some new flair and hotness!

I had some major coding issues last night that prevented me from doing an update. Somehow my forum tabs just starting giving me some HTML errors but all of that is, hopefully, fixed now. The Entertainment, Favorites and Features page have brand new content in them. I'm still working on the forum and other sections but they should be complete by this weekend.

I've been getting a lot feedback lately and a lot people want to help make this site even better (which is always welcomed). To anyone that wants to submit an article, review, codes, a walkthrough or whatever, you can email me at admin@gamerc.net

Don't worry about grammar for I'm not an English major and don't expect thesis paper material. I do however expect content to be written so that even a fourth grader would understand it (since most newspaper are written in that level). I will edit all work that I receive and anyone can submit their work as many times as they want. I will do a update for each revision I get.

Reviews will be up shortly for video games and movies. Right now I will be focusing on games for the Nintendo Wii, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. Older consoles such as the Snes and Sega Genesis will be added as well and anyone can write a review for any console or PC. Those sections will be added when content is available for them. I do not have a set length for reviews but anything longer than a paragraph would be nice. Videos and pictures of reviewed content will be provided by me.

Stay tune for more updates. With everything fixed they should be happening more often now (I'm trying to do three updates a day).

What's to come, What to expect

It's 3:00 a.m. right now and I got off Xbox Live playing Gears of War 2 to finish more adjustments in here. Still have a lot content I need to add but I thought I take the time to explain what this site will be about and what direction I will be taking it. For those who were familiar with my GamerC blog (all seven of you lol) then you'll know what to expect from me. As for everyone else whose seen me on GamePro, Stickam, the old GamerC forums or played online games with...you too already know what to expect : )

This is a personal hobby site of mine. I'll be writing about video games, movies, music, collectables, TV shows, upcoming events I'll be going to or doing and anything else that catches my interest and I want to write about. The Home page will serve as the main hub for updates and pointing people to other sections of my site. The Entertainment page will discuss anything from funny videos I found on YouTube to movie reviews. Favorites is where I'll post all my favorite websites and recommend people to check out. Features will contain articles written by me and anyone else who like to submit something (from game related to whatever you have interest in and want to post). Finally the Forums tab will link people to the GamerC forum, which will be finish by tomorrow evening.

I will be adding other sections on here such as a reviews, videos and pages dedicated to certain gaming genres such as fighting, role-playing and first person shooters. I also have plans for live stream gaming, as you can watch me on JustinTV playing video games live as a walkthrough and listen to my commentary. Submissions from folks are always a welcome for I love giving shout outs to anyone else doing things they love or want to spread a message. I have a lot in store myself but I'm always willing to post other opinions too.

Tomorrow I'll be finishing up the other sections, adding articles and spending some time on the forum. In the future I will be adding comment posting for my entries so people can post in them. That's one function that always give me trouble >_>

It's finally here...It's finally done.

Two years...It has taken me two long years to finish this simple website o_O

You would think after two years this would be something FANTASTIC! This looks so plain compared to other gaming sites and it makes you think just what in the world have I been doing? The answer is a simple and honest one; I haven't worked on it two years lol :p

Procrastination can be such an ugly beast and I have definitely fallen under its spell. There has been so many times I was ready to reveal this site and update it on a regular basis, but each time I did so I just suddenly stopped working on it. I used to think it was because I was trying to be a perfectionist, making sure every little thing was just the way I wanted it to be. I wanted to make this place the all-in-one site that everyone would find appealing. I honestly believed that was the real reason it took me so long to finish this.

That's a lie lmao.

Sure, I did procrastinate and I was trying to be perfect in some aspects but the real reason is I found other enjoyable things to do and became friends with some truly incredible folks. Along with college and joining the Campus Nerds (which I'll discuss in a later entry), I felt contempt and completely forgot about this and the many forums I've done. Even now my online time is mainly dedicated to playing video games lol. The more I thought about this, the more I kept pushing it back, but I knew I was going to finish this someday...and that day is now.

Ladies and gentlemen, I welcome you to GamerC! The home of a man who loves to talk about anything and keeps tab on his enemy Black Santa! (another entry I'll post about later). This is my home that I feel is good enough to be anyone's home too. It's taken me a long time to actually settle in and I still have way more stuff to move, but for now I welcome folks to stop by and have fun. Enjoyment is on me ^_^

P.S. I know the links on top are not clickable. They will be in the next update, which will happen after I get some sleep lol.

Update at 11:15 p.m. June 22nd - The Entertainment and Favorites section are finish and I'm currently adding the new links to the other sections. All of it should be finished by early tomorrow morning with the forum. I need to make sure the new link for it will transfer everything over before I have folks signing up for it.
